Launched in November 2013, Equus Dine at Cavalli has already established itself as a premier dining destination in the Western Cape.

Headed​ by talented Executive Chef Hylton Espey, Cavalli’s approach to cuisine can be described as ‘modern​, ​nature inspired cuisine’, inspired by a focus on our heritage​ as it draws upon​ the landscapes, flora and fauna of Southern and Continental Africa. ​The menu ​seeks to​ take diners on a ​gastronomic ​journey, ​touching on points of nostalgia. ​Hylton and his team forage daily​ in Cavalli’s heirloom vegetable garden​ ​which he believes translates to superior flavour​, higher quality produce​ and speaks to the estate’s belief in sustainability.

Equus offers guests the opportunity to experience a delicious relaxed bistro lunch or a fine dining dinner paired with an expertly crafted wine list​, craft beers and an impressive​ select​ion of​ whiskeys. As a result, the restaurant, which over looks a serene dam set against the backdrop of the magnificent Helderberg mountain range, has become a favourite among discerning foodies.
